The Rock Trust Postcard Online Art Exhibition and Sale

Welcome to the online version of The Rock Trust Postcard Art Exhibition!  We first ran this event in 2007 and due to its success and the fun that we had doing it, it really wasn’t too much of a decision for us to decide to run it for a second time in 2009 and now again in 2011.

We hope that you enjoy the cards from the exhibition’s on line gallery.  The actual cards are on display in the bar/café area of the Traverse Theatre at 10 Cambridge Street, Edinburgh, Scotland, EH1 2ED.  The exhibition will run from Monday 28th March 2011 through to Saturday 7th May 2011.  The launch night for the event is Wednesday 30th March from 7.30pm and we warmly welcome you to be there if you can.

We would like to say a special thank you to  all the contributing artists, without whose generosity, time and talent   We would also like to say a sincere thank you to the Traverse Theatre who, for a third time, have very generously made their exhibition space available to us. Thanks also goes to The Royal Bank of Scotland who have supported us to stage this years event.

Of course, the purpose of the event is to raise funds for the work that we do - supporting some of Edinburgh and the Lothians most vulnerable young people.  All the postcards  will be sold off during the exhibition by means of a blind auction process.  If you are interested in purchasing one of the works, you can either do so by popping along to the exhibition and filling out a bidding slip and posting it in the big green Rock Trust postbox there.  You can also bid by post or online through our contact page.  Simply write  your name and contact details along with a note of the postcard(s) you wish to bid for and how much you wish to bid for it/them.  If send by post, please direct your bids to:

All bids will remain sealed until the event is over, after which they will be reviewed and the highest bidder will be contacted.

If you can visit the exhibition in person, why not also take in one of the Theatre's productions over the coming weeks.
